Oh She Glows Everyday Cookbook Love + Strawberry Oat Crumble Bars Recipe

A while back I received Angela's new cookbook, Oh She Glows Every Day. And I am excited to share it with you guys today.

Angela Liddon is the lovely soul behind the beautiful blog, Oh She Glows. Not only does she create gorgeous, nourishing, delicious (plant-based/vegan) recipes on her blog, but her cookbooks offer up even more recipes and little glimpses into her kitchen and life.

I know that writing a cookbook is exhausting and hard - a labor of love and maybe a few tears. So every time one of my friends or fellow bloggers sends their new book my way I am SO honored to browse the pages and take a peek inside.

Today I am sharing which recipe I tried first - whipped it up on this lazy Sunday afternoon - as well as a recipe from her cookbook that YOU can try ASAP. Let's get glowing..

'Run Amok!' Pumpkin Cookies. And Other Hocus Pocus Halloween Goodies!

"Amok amok amok amok!" - Sarah in Hocus Pocus

Hocus Pocus is my favorite Halloween movie. I remember watching it when it first came out in 1993 when I was 12 years old. It was magical. Those houses on the fall tree lined streets were picture perfect to me. All I really wanted was to have a cute house on that street and hand out candy on Halloween to kids. Minus all the spooky witches of course. And apparently I am not alone, if you check out Twitter you can just follow #HocusPocus and see how many people adore the film. If you have never seen it, I hope you rent it this Halloween season!

So in celebration of my fave Halloween movie night, I whipped up some easy Hocus Pocus approved snacks, including these Run Amok Pumpkin Cookies with bits of everything in each sweet pumpkin-y bite...

Halloween Avocado Toast Snack Platters

disclosure: This post is sponsored by my friends at DOLE, but all opinions are my own.

Halloween recipes are my favorite in terms of presentation creativity. I love all the spiderweb, ghost, goblin, vampire, monster, witchy fun that food bloggers spook up and into their recipes this time of year. Tricks and treats are to be expected. But Halloween doesn't have to celebrated with just gobs of sugar-loaded goodies and candy candy candy - things can get delicious, spooky and festive using healthy fruits and veggies!

That is why I am so excited to be throwing a Healthy Halloween Pinterest Board Takeover with my friends at DOLE. Starting today, I am going to be pinning loads of vegan, fruit and veggie-loaded healthy Halloween recipes over on this board. And besides all the spooky-fun recipe ideas, there are prizes!

All the details on the Pin board contest, plus my two Halloween snack toast recipes: Cheezy Pumpkin Apple and Franken-Mash!..
