These Fries Need Salt Mom! : Burger King Limits Sodium in Kids Meals

Burger King said today, that it will limit its sodium content in kids meals to 600 milligrams or less. 600 mg is about a teaspoon of salt. The American Heart Association recommends a daily intake of no more than 2,300 milligrams of sodium in healthy adults and less for kids.

This is a great thing.

High sodium diets have been shown to increase blood pressure, and risk of heart attacks and strokes.
Watching sodium intake used to only be a practice seen by high-risk adults or those recovering from a heart attack or stroke, but with today's kids being more obese than ever and even showing to have arteries in the same shape as a 45 year-old.....watching how much SALT is in kids foods seems like a great idea.

Good job burger king...Apple fries for kids, less sodium and calories...keep it up!
